Here is an overview of the loan-application process.
 
STEP ONE -- Determine how much you can borrow
To begin the process click the "Quick Qualification" link in the menu on the left side of the home page. By completing the requested information we will be able to find out how much home you can buy, even before you begin looking. If you already own your home and are interested in refinancing we can prequalify you for that as well. Once you have answered a few simple questions we will calculate your buying/borrowing power based on standard lender guidelines.
 
STEP TWO -- Pre-Approval
You will need to supply some brief personal information including your employment history, assets, etc. Please be sure and check the credit authorization box before submitting your request. This allows us to obtain your credit report which is a key factor in obtaining a pre-approval. Once we have reviewed this information and determined eligibility we will issue a Pre-approval letter. This will assure the seller that you are a legitimate buyer and may help your Realtor in the negotiation process. While you begin looking for a home, we will determine the best loan product to meet your specific financial needs. Important Note: Do not allow anyone to obtain free credit reports for you. A credit report will have to be obtained through the credit bureau as part of the application process. Repeatedly accessing your credit report may lower your "credit-risk score"! This score is extremely important to your overall credit evaluation in the underwriting process for your mortgage loan.
 
STEP THREE -- Obtaining a Mortgage Approval
Once you find a home and have an accepted offer to purchase you are now ready to complete the loan applicaton process. You can make an appointment with a loan officer by calling 734-397-6262 or via the email tab in the Staff Directory section. You will receive a list of things you should bring with you to your application appointment. Once the application is completed it will be submitted to underwriting for approval.
 
STEP FOUR -- Your Loan is Approved and Funded
Your Real Estate Agent or the Seller will designate a Title Company to handle the funding of your loan, along with many other factors which make your purchase go smoothly. Once your loan is approved we will coordinate with your Realtor regarding a closing. Simple, Straightforward, Cost Effective, and FAST!
